Fighter is an Indian Hindi action film set to be released on January 25, 2024. The film is directed and produced by Siddharth anand and Viacom18 studios, and is produced by Marflix Pictures. It is the first instalment of an aerial action franchise in India. The film co-stars Hrithik roshan and Deepika padukone with Anil Kapoor. The film was announced on January 10, 2021.
The pre-production of the film was delayed due to COVID-19. The principal photography of the film began in November 2022. Filming took place in various schedules all over India. The film wrapped up in late October.
Real life Indian Air Force Cadets worked on the film. The movie has references to 2019 attacks in Pulwama and 2019 Balakot, as well as 2019 India-Pakistan border skirmishes.The soundtrack album of the film is composed by Vishal and Shekhar and consists of 5 songs. The cinematography is done by SatchithPaulose. The visuals are done by DNEG. The film was originally scheduled to be released on 30 September 2022, but was postponed to January 25, 2024, in time for the Republic.

After the trailer was released, Hania Aamir along with many other Pakistani actors slammed the film's plot. In her Instagram Stories, Hania said, “It's so sad and unfortunate that there are artists in this world who know the power of cinema and still choose to feed the disharmony between the two nations. I'm sorry for those artists who are trying to bridge the divide by believing in their art as the medium. It's so sick.”
Siddharth Anand reacted to tweets which showed that Hania had acted in Anti-India movies in the past. In a tweet recently, Siddharth said, “Once glorified for love, now Bollywood creates hate-filled stories, painting us as the bad guys. Even though we love your films, it’s so sad. Art goes beyond borders; let’s use it to spread love and peace. Let’s let it breathe. Two nations who are victims of politics deserve better than this.”
On the other hand, Pakistani actress Zara Noor Abbas posted on her Instagram Stories, “Are you tired of peddling the same lies? Grow up, people! The world has changed and grown, but why are you selling this cheap tale of hatred? You could have also spread peace. Don’t we have enough hate in the world? Why do you have to spread more hate through the global medium of films?
